Brookline Music School Summer Flute Institute

The Summer Flute Institute is an opportunity for flutists ages 10 to adult to engage in interactive workshops on a variety of topics, expanding on the techniques of flute playing and performance presented by BMS and guest faculty.

BMS is excited and honored to welcome flutist Allison Parramore of the Boston Festival Orchestra and Cayuga Chamber Orchestra as the Institute’s Summer 2026 guest artist.

Flutistry Boston will host an instrument demonstration table for students to try their finest flutes. Participants will also have the opportunity to play in ensembles and participate in a final performance on Sunday, June 28.

Prerequisite: Flutists ages 10 to adult with at least 2 years of study and the ability to read music.

  • WHEN: Friday, June 26th at 1:00 pm - Sunday, June 28th at 12:30 pm

  • WHERE: Brookline Music School, 25 Kennard Rd. Brookline, MA 02445

  • WHO: Intermediate to advanced flutists ages 10 to adult with a minimum of 2 years’ study (workshops are divided by age). Participants should know how to read music.
