Cayuga Chamber Orchestra: Giant-Proof

  • Ford Hall, James J. Whalen Center for Music, Ithaca College Gym Road Ithaca, New York, 14850 United States (map)

Some of the most searching music is of the diminutive kind. Tonight's program follows one such thread: Bach's intimate concerto for nine strings and continuo, Ravel’s orchestral arrangement of his piano hommage, Christina Courtin, who’s giant-proof, and our dear Schubert, another songwriter, who shows that our need for grand finales may be well overstated.
